Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I 'm just wild about creating Valentine's for young readers. Here’s a new activity for all your young writers and readers in your classroom or at home that love animals! I've provided T-riffic step-by-step directions and Un-Bee-Lieveably cute messages for readers. I've written posts in the past about how to make Valentine's with heart designs and vintage valentines you can just print if you are short on time. You can find the link to these free printables to download at my previous post on Valentine's for writers and readers.
- Scissors
- Colored paper and some newspaper with printed words
- Heart stickers
- Glue
- Puffy paints or colored pencils
Now just follow these simple instructions:
Students can make any animals they love. I used googly eyes, but paint or stickers can be used instead. Now add sayings for all of the young readers to inspire a love of books. A bookworm would have been cute here too! The sky is the limit when it comes to creativity. Here are a few ideas!
Happy Valentine's Day Readers! Reading is Cool and So are You!
